Bogong moth
The dark brown spring migrator, about 4-5 cm across. Appears for a few weeks each spring on its way to the Alps — harmless, doesn't breed indoors and passes through.
Pantry moth (Indian meal moth)
A small bronze-brown moth with banded wings. Breeds in flour, cereal, pasta and dried pet food — the small moths fluttering near kitchen cupboards all year. This one we treat.
Webbing clothes moth
A tiny golden-cream moth whose larvae feed on wool, silk, fur and stored fabrics. Damage shows up as holes in clothes, rugs and upholstery.
Brown house moth
Slightly larger, a warm brown with faint markings. Larvae feed on dried plant and animal material, including pantry goods and textiles, and it's common inside Sydney homes.
White-shouldered house moth
Easily recognised by its white head and shoulders. Larvae feed on dried plant material, fabrics and stored food, and it's one of the most common moths in Sydney homes.
Case-making clothes moth
